JULY JUBILEE
We have the earliest county fair in the state. The 4-Hers have to work early to get their projects completed. Hannah had fun at the fair not just in modeling and showing her calf but also in the water fight on the wash rack and catch-the-pig contest. She did very good for her first year and more importantly had lots of fun. Vance and I attended the National Junior Angus Show. We thank all those who spent hours planning and producing this huge event. Nebraska Juniors sponsored the banana splits following opening ceremonies. They have a great time doing this and from the quantity of ice cream served people like banana splits. Our congratulations to Doug and Glenda Schroeder, from Iowa for being named Advisors of the Year. They are a great Angus family and have given many dedicated hours to Iowa junior Angus members. We ultrasound checked this month and now the guys are starting to pick out the sale cattle. They took a few pictures for some ads but will have more pictures to do later. With the NJAS and county fair over, we think of all the people who gave so much to make these events possible. Thus I leave you this month with… "Take time to give...it is too short a day to be selfish." - - - Anonymous |
