TC Diary

FEBRUARY FUN

Sale day at TC Ranch . . .three generations
of Uden guys

Yes it is sale time again at TC Ranch. Years ago I was ready a few weeks ahead — now it is down to just a few hours prior. Guess there is more to do and age has nothing to do with getting things done.

With the sale on TV we had one day to video the bull and it was a nice day and the cattle worked well. The second day was a blizzard when we videoed the heifers — guess it is a good thing we didn’t have Charolais. We had good comments on the sale being on TV and were pleased with the results, so we will probably do this again.

Hannah is 11 years old . . .
10 fingers and
1 toe add up to 11.

Hannah liked
her horse socks
We did have time to celebrate Hannah’s 11th birthday.
She liked her horse socks and other horse gifts.

We had a great sale with a big crowd. The bleachers and chairs were full. The weather was perfect and we only had a slight breeze. We will take this kind of day every year. If you want to know more about the sale, click on TC Sales for a write up of the sale.

Calving is going good even though we did have a few bitter cold days. Since we calve the cows out in the open we lost a few ears. It is always exciting to see the newborns by the new sires.

Trying to get ready for the sale and meet deadlines, I leave you this months with . . .

“We are so busy doing the urgent that we don’t have time to do the important.”
