TC Diary

The whole month of February is devoted to getting ready for our annual production sale. It was a nice day and we are always anxious to hear the forecast. It seems like the weather man always makes it worse than it really is on our sale date. The northeast part of the state and Iowa did have bad weather and several customers were unable to come. With all the bad weather we had been having - think people were afraid to leave home.

We had a really good sale and certainly thank all the buyers and bidders . . . just wish we could make it last a week so we would have more time to visit with everyone. But then if it lasted a week - that would take a lot more food. We appreciate all the people who help on sale day. I have the same women serve the food, the guys have about the same help in working the cattle so that makes it easier.

Hannah is 10 years old

We had several judging teams come and work out. Always glad to have the college kids come.

Hannah enjoyed her 10th birthday and was thrilled with her "horse" gifts. She loves her horses and they like Hannah back. I told Hannah since she was the big 10 we would do something special. So just Hannah and I spent the weekend in Omaha. We toured SAC museum, went to the IMAX and the art museum and saw Lion King on stage. A fun time together.

We have just started calving. Always calve the heifers a week or so before the cows.
